Responsibilities
- Provide support for target accounts from prospect through qualification phases
- Development of tools, documentation and processes to enable customers to easily qualify and integrate products
- Develop support methodologies for industry-best support and integrate quality metrics into customer support/escalation processes
- Develop (with Quality) a customer focused ‘scorecard’ process
- Functional expertise for all products and key customer evaluation/qualification tools
- Primary technical liaison with customers during qualification process and for manufacturing/quality support
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of OEM customers for storage, content distribution, digital creation, HPC and other performance oriented markets. Recent experience and/or existing relationships with major OEM(s) required
- A solutions approach to selling from related hardware products (HDD, memory, switches, HBAs, etc.)
- Technical knowledge of storage market and interfaces (SAS, SATA, etc.)
- Strong customer and quality focus with experience building relationships for sustainable growth and outstanding customer relationships
- Excellent written/oral communication skills and problem solving techniques.

This position will design, implement and unit test embedded firmware for Pliant EFD solid-state storage products. Responsibilities include translating high level requirements and specifications into implementation plans, coding in C++ and assembly, system analysis, characterization and debug. Applicant must be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as part of a distributed collaborative development team.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years embedded software/firmware development experience
- Thorough understanding of C++ and assembly language coding techniques for high reliability and performance
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft software development tools and method
- A track record of significant individual achievement in software product development
- Distributed multi-processor architectures
- Data storage technology (e.g. SCSI, SAS, SATA, SMART)
- High performance I/O systems (e.g. storage, networking)
- Error correcting codes (ECC)
- Data encryption
- High reliability software systems
In this highly visible role, the Project Manager will be primarily responsible for successful product launches and qualifications with major OEM customers in server and storage markets. Other responsibilities include:
- Manage multiple programs and projects through cross-functional coordination to ensure prioritization is clearly communicated, schedules are visible and measurement of the on-time execution to meet deadlines and milestones
- Drives project schedules, facilitates resource prioritization and conflict resolution, monitors engineering change activities, and coordinates cross-functional dependencies
- Defines processes and methodologies to ensure maximum leverage of the organization and on-time completion of action items and deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience with increasing responsibilities and a proven track record of success
- Strong understanding of storage development processes, product launch phases, production preparation and ramp planning, and project management skills

The Strategic Account manager will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining Pliant strategic accounts.
- Coordinate all customer requirements and ensure they are being resolved
- Conduct weekly meetings with accounts and appropriate Pliant personnel
- Interface with Pliant Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations as necessary to resolve customer issues
- Maintain rolling Forecast for assigned accounts
- Work with Sales Operations and Customer Service to monitor inventory and logistic issues
- Prepare dashboards for Management to monitor the overall status of assigned accounts
Qualifications
- Must have prior Enterprise Tier I Server or Storage OEM account experience
- Outstanding attention to detail, organization and communication skills required
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, unstructured environment
- Must have experience in either Sales, Account Management or Program management
- Prior history of working with storage components is desirable
- Prior experience organizing OEM quarterly business reviews desirable

We have an immediate opening for a Test Engineer to ensure quality assurance for our enterprise SSD firmware, located at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA. This position will have primary responsibility for planning, specification and developing tools to help automate and report the quality engineering process for Pliant’s Enterprise Flash Drive (EFD).
Responsibilities
- This position will work directly with the FW team for the design and implementation of automated test, tools and methodologies
- Generation of detailed test plans that ensure compliance with engineering design specifications, industry standards and technical marketing requirements
- Test case execution, results capture and analysis
- Bug reporting, performance testing and documentation
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a hands-on system Test or QA Engineer
- Working knowledge of HDD/SSD devices, interfaces and systems
- C programming language
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in small cross functional teams
- Complete command of state-of-the-art test methodologies, tools and best practices
- Industry standard HDD interface protocols (e.g. SCSI, SAS, SATA)
- Standard HDD benchmarks and compliance tests (Iometer, SPC, TPC, etc)
- Automated testing tools and techniques
- Python, Perl, Shell, or Bash scripting languages is a plus
